Wheat Ridge 2020 Implements Housing Investment Program
Release Date:June 21st, 2007
Fort Collins, CO, June 21, 2007 - Funding Partners, a non-profit financial institution congratulates Wheat Ridge 2020, Inc. for its generous support of housing needs within the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

The Home Investment Loan Program (HILP) is offered through Wheat Ridge 2020, a local community and economic development agency, to upgrade the appearance, safety, and energy efficiency of the residential properties owned and occupied by residents. Targeted areas include Sheridan and Wadsworth within the City of Wheat Ridge with priority for Sheridan to Pierce and 32nd Ave to 44th Ave.
Funding Partners has entered a partnership with Wheat Ridge 2020 to help administer and refine this low-cost program.  HILP is structured to finance up to 80% of project costs within the targeted neighborhoods with a minimum loan amount of $5,000 and a maximum $30,000 available to borrowers.  The Program was created to encourage the renovation and revitalization of older homes and to increase home ownership in the targeted areas.  There are many barriers associated with the renovation of older buildings; however, with the creation of HILP, those barriers will become opportunities for recognizing greater asset appreciation for program participants. The long-term goal of the Program is to create an environment that will continue to attract new investors and residents to the community.
”Wheat Ridge 2020 is pleased to partner with Funding Partners, which has worked with so many municipalities and community organizations,” said Rob Osborn, executive director of Wheat Ridge 2020.  “Our loan program is helping residents invest in Wheat Ridge and meet our goals as a vibrant and sustainable community.”
Funding Partners is recognized as a leader in delivering capital and credit to geographic markets and populations across Colorado underserved by traditional financial service providers. With the new addition of HILP, Funding Partners is further expanding this commitment and capacity to serve markets across the state.
